"Escapism is what keeps us sane"
Community is at the root of what we do. Finding meaningful escapism, protecting the places we play, and bringing the outdoors to more folks.
We’re stoked to work with some epic storytellers, creatives, roamers, dreamers, wanderers... From all walks of life. This Green Friday, we asked our community what escapism means to them, what part trees play in that escapism, and why they think it’s important to protect the places we play.
Here’s what they had to say…

Proud to be Opening Up The Outdoors
This year, we became proud partners of Opening Up The Outdoors, a group committed to creating momentum for the progression of continued inclusion within outdoor spaces.
Their debut research report, Belonging Without Barriers, uncovers how racism and discrimination create barriers to accessing the outdoors in Germany, detailing what must change to make the outdoors accessible to all.
Expect to hear more over the coming months as we work closely with OUTO on our plans for 2026 and beyond.

Team Tree Planting
We’ve planted trees all over the globe, setting roots in the ground to help reforest areas affected by wildfire, plant forest gardens to provide food for communities, as well as plant in projects closer to home.
The team headed up to Auldcathie District Park outside Edinburgh this month to plant a bunch of different tree species, including Beech, Elder, Dogwood, and Oak. The park has been converted from an old landfill site, and is now home to woodland, community growing spaces, sports fields, and tons more.
Joined by ambassadors Somewhere Wilder and some of our Roamers Collective community members, the team managed to plant almost 300 trees in just a few hours.
