Inspired by road trips into canopy covered wilderness, the Eclipse Insulated Waterproof Jacket keeps you dry and cosy with its breathable, recycled polyester fabric and Thermore® Ecodown insulation. Featuring adjustable details and multiple pockets, this jacket is perfect for your next adventure.

- Cut in our Classic Fit. Not too tight, not too loose. Great for layering.
- Fully seam sealed taped waterproof jacket using Bemis® tape.
- Nicca® PFC free water resistant DWR coating.
- Tested to 10,000mm waterproof rating.
- Insulated with Thermore® Ecodown - post consumer PET bottles that provides warmth without the weight.

- Adjustable concealed drawcord on the hood.

I can't fault the waterproofness of the jacket but I expected the insulation to be warmer. Whoever decided to save money by not putting the insulation on both sides of the pockets obviously doesn't wear this jacket because you always get cold hands.

Got this for those chilly day walks when a bit of rain might be forecast. Not as warm as a full winter jacket but still fine for non-freezing days. Plenty of pockets for phone and snacks. Ordered the M first but swapped to the S as the sleeves were a bit long and the body seemed baggy, if you're thinking of putting a fleece under the M might suffice.

This jacket is made really well and looks great on - slightly oversize fit. HOWEVER, the outer shell fabric has a major pitfall in design. Within an hour of wearing the jacket, I splashed some hand soap onto it while dispensing from a soap dispenser. I quickly finished washing my hands and went to grab a damp cloth to wipe away the soap, but unfortunately the oil in the soap soaked into the fabric and became embedded. This is a real shame as I genuinely liked the jacket. The outer shell is made of a soft tent-like fabric, which frustratingly allows everyday substances to penetrate it. This should be a tough outer shell that liquid substances bounce or bead off. For this reason I returned the product for a full refund and definitely wouldn’t purchase it again.

While the jacket features a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating designed to repel water, you're right that certain substances like soap can affect the fabric differently.

I went on my first wet hike up Carodoc Hill today. Mist, wind, rain and low clouds.
I was warm and dry at all times. Good quality material. Comfy and well fitted.
