Great pair of shorts that have lasted through walks (light and comfortable) , general wear (comfortable and good fit) to gig going (groovy camo pattern) and DIY (allows good movement, decent durable weight). The integral clip belt is good, though the clip fastening could hold better - though no problem if you loop the end. They’ve washed really well and I’ll no doubt buy more at some point. I prefer looser shorts so ordered a size up at 38W that were bang on.

I bought these a few months ago. Had read the comments re sizing up and I'm normally a 33-34 waist with ... er ... 'blokey thighs' and so was going to go for the 36 waist. However, I bottled it and stayed with the 34. Glad I did. Absolutely perfect fit for me. No issues with tightness on the thighs or stride length. I guess with these shorts, if they fit, they fit!
In terms of quality, they are a tough ripstop cotton, with an excellent finish - high quality garment. They wash well - colours stay as they should and easy to iron to a smooth finish. I have worn them most warm days over the last two months.
I really like these. I mean REALLY like them. I've just ordered a pair in black so I can wear them with more things - the sycamore khaki is great but more for working in the garage/garden, or just general wear around the house/shops. I think the black ones will be smart enough for 'smart casual'
Overall, I have no regrets with buying these at all, even though it's more than I'd usually pay for a pair of shorts. I suppose you get what you pay for and I've been buying Passenger on-and-off for years - never disappointed, great British company.
